There is something meant for you here.
In each moment, in each breath.
However ecstatic or painful or pleasurable or uncomfortable, savoring what arises is an inescapable part of the journey.
I have an irrepressible affinity for digestifs: divisive, bitter, boozy spirits infused with roots, herbs and flowers that originated as medicine to help us digest our food, assimilate nutrients, finish a meal, or even aid in healing from illness.
I drink them in the winter with an ice cube, and I can’t articulate WHY, but the more it tastes like I’m being poisoned, the better
I am learning this with bitter situations also: When we acknowledge what IS, experience it fully, allow it to flow through, there is MEDICINE in these experiences.
There is no experience WITHOUT medicine, but how courageously are we willing to look at ourselves, our reactions, and our patterns as we are presented with this medicine?
- What’s triggering?
- What makes us blame others?
- Where to we offload responsibility?
- Where do we create stories that are convenient instead of authentic?
- Where to we trip back into old patterns?
And with the Sweetness:
Can we fully experience the GOOD without shame or guilty?
Can we honor the gift as it comes?
Can we accept it with our full worth?
Let all of it, the bitter and the sweet, spread through your being and infuse your tissues like chocolate melting slowly, voluptuously on your tongue.
Lick up your life: It’s all FOR you.
